Common courtesy (or complete lack of)

How about at least having the decency to post news and progress updates on the forum here where you made a fortune selling the game.
Came across some random ass youtube video with updates that I have not seen in the feed here.
Try showing some appreciation for your customers please.

Customers paid for something that's not finished, with the expectation that it will be... and that the people doing the work do a better job of disseminating information.

Where in that is it said that they can't have an opinion or expectations? In a forum to promote the same?

That's not entitlement. That's being a customer. An early access game is sold, largely, predicated on the promise of future development.

Take your "gAmErs ARe EntiTLEd BabiEs" argument and go.

Asking for communication is not an issue. They have a bad attitude towards their customers.
Ihave never been on a forum where discussion garners a warning or worse.
This is the only forum on steam I have had issues with EVER.
The problem lies in an inability to take any form of criticisim.

Im blocking this thread so any others with the stupidity to uphold this kind of view
"As players, we only paid for the right to play this game, in it's current state (still in development), and that's it... We aren't investors or shareholders, and have no right to demand anything from the devs...."
Can do so without me seeing it.
The devs owe us a game and when willing to stick their greedy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ paws out and be granted the PRIVILAGE of peoples trust as well as their money,
Early access is a PRIVILAGE for the DEVS . And folk with your dumb take on this are going to insure that more copy pasta garbage like many other ea games which barely function are selling for £20 quid a pop with a safe route out with the cash via your cover fire

Valheim is a good game and I want to see it succeed.
All i was asking for was some uniformity between the platforms they use for communication so we ON STEAM can know what is going on with the game which has already deviated massively from its roadmap.

Actually, not only in this EA title, but ANY EA title it clearly states that yes, while the intent is to give a finished product, it doesn't guarantee that it will be. Also that scheduling and content can change based on many factors. Even full wipes, etc.

That is the risk you take purchasing such products as the consumer, and why people should actually read the disclaimers. So they understand and make a sensible decision for themselves and their play styles and patience levels to purchase or not based on those disclaimers.

Like it or not, You got exactly what you paid for... the item that was advertised was an un-finished game, still in development.... That's what you got.

While you can "expect" for them to finish the game, and expect them to provide you with information on what they have added to the game, (which they already do), and expect them to provide a roadmap, it doesn't mean they are obligated to do so.

It's definitely in the dev's best interest to be transparent, and interactive with their playerbase, but at the end of the day, not required to do so.

Calling the devs "greedy" because they charged a small fee in exchange for their time and effort, is ludicrous and proves my point about this entitlement people seem to have.

You recieved what was advertised, in the state of development it was advertised , with a clear warning about NOT buying if you weren't happy with it's being in the state of development it was advertised in.

Also, "they" don't have any bad attitude against their customers... why would you even say that? The forum moderators clean up the forums, which is definitely needed, and a direct result of the absolutely horrible state of chaos the forums were in, when the game first launched on Steam.

The OP isn't referring to official updates and patch notes, they're referring to the teasers/progress that are posted to various places like Twitter and Discord but not here where people actually buy and play the game.
Wai.. so they also have a twitter?

Sad how so many feel "entitled" based on how much money the game generated, and try to imply that the devs owe them explanations of how that money is / was used, when the fact is, it's nobodiy's business but their own.

As players, we only paid for the right to play this game, in it's current state (still in development), and that's it... We aren't investors or shareholders, and have no right to demand anything from the devs.... and wow.... this thread bashing the devs for not providing information which is already clearly provided, as a courtesy, is baffling.
