No Prevention of Abusive Client-Side Mods on Dedicated Servers?
So, just found out today that there's literally no security checks on servers to prevent client-side mods from impacting the gameplay of others. People even have the ability to fully edit terrain and buildings on servers, even spawning in massive structures or digging massive holes, with zero admin and no server-side mods installed.
How and why was this never addressed? /facepalm

Dedicated servers are set-up by fellow players. They are not provided by the Devs, so if there are issues with random players using mods to spawn things into your server, its up to whoever player is admin in controlling who joins there server and what they can do on it.
The Devs even warn you when you start the game that joining random players is at your own risk.
That's no excuse to not put checks in place to prevent client-side mods from affecting the servers others play on. That only leaves the "honor system".
There are mods that give the admins more controll over there game/server. But this is a coop game, not a true multiplayer.
Once again, not an excuse just because it's a "co-op" game (even though it has PvP flags). It's still a game that can (as I do) be hosted via a dedicated server on another machine.
Even worse yet, something I didn't even consider, people can use mods to spawn in excess stuff and crash a hosts PC and ruin their file if they truly wanted to.

there are several anti-cheat mods if you want to protect your server.

The multiplayer aspect is a work-in-progress, just as Early Access is a work-in-progress. They even mention this in their article about the things they will be adding in the future. H&H was the first one. Multiplayer options would be something at a later date.
In the meantime, just play with people that doesn't abuse the honour system. So far, in my dedicated server of 8 players, everyone is adhering to the rules we all agreed to a month and a half ago. Then again, I'm hosting a game for friends I've known for decades.

I have a Gportal server and there are no spawning commands whatsoever. Is this on a personal hosted session or?
