Stone Floor height
Is it possible to lower the stone floor without digging? When i place stone floors on my new building, they are raised a bit, so that now when you open the main entrance doors, they clip into them, and you also have to jump up to get on the,m. i am certain i am doing something wrong.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I broke the floor up, slightly lowered the dirt and then redid the floor. i couldn't raise the doors because then they wouldn't be correct for other things.

Depends on how you built the structure. If you started with walls first, probably not, since snapping the floor to the wall may put it into the ground or may not have the clearance to even give you the snap point.

Yeah I have no idea what you did - what other pieces, where the entrance is, how things are clipping...
I can tell you that without any existing structure if you want flat to ground vs half raised you can chuck down a wooden floor piece and sort of snap the stone into the edge of that to get it ground level instead. Which itself may not be pretty, there's a good chance dirt will clip through - especially since snapped stone sits lower than wood.
But I have no idea if that helps because I don't understand the problem.
If we ignore clipping and existing structures, you might be able to get the height you want to digging the ground, placing the stone, and raising/flattening the ground again - so that everything is where you want it. No idea if that's possible in your situation.

Stone stairs are the answer. But in the future, build the floor first then work up from there will make things easier. Changing out floors is problematic in most cases. The building system is pretty well done but also somewhat limited.

Thank you, that makes sense. I did the walls first... ugh. LOL Well I guess it will take time but i can try and lower one, and then level from that point. At lease i didn't put too many down yet

stone floors will snap flat into the ground with a little fiddling. If you can just get 1 piece to do it, the others will glue to it.

you can try to:
place a wall and then hold shift while holding the floor piece onto tha wall
this might help adjust the height a little
i you go to low the part might snap
if you go to high the parts turns red
its fiddly
i use this to lower my foundation walls a bit into the ground
once the part has the height you need, place it and snap the others onto it

The beauty of stone floors is they are more forgiving of uneven terrain.
You can also use the horizontal beams on the ground instead of wood floors. In all of my armory buildings now I set down horizontal beams to ck for evenness around the perimeter, put down first vertial support beams, set up doorways, to be sure they are blue then I use the paving as floors in those buildings and in portal hubs. Saves on both wood and stone and looks good. Then pave walkway to kitchen/sleeping building which ties it all together. And if you hate it, can easily just re-flatten.

I place the stone flooring first and then raise and then slightly flatten terrain for entrances and gates. You can also partially bury wooden or stone stairs and then you walk smoothly when crossing the lip instead of having to do a tiny jump.

Have you tried placing a wood floor piece and snapping the stone floor to the side of it?
