console spawn nerf? why?

last update have premoved option to "spawn" items with more than lvl 4 upgrades.
Some players (like me) may not like how new armor sets looks like. Previously they was able to made padded armor +5 with console and have fashion they like to see with stats of armor equal to actual (scale armor +2). same about some weapons and etc... so please give us that functional back or a "transmogrification" or best option - be able to made old armors/weapons more grade lvls with more resources spend.
This is a kinda chilling game and i want to see that i like to see.

Why not simply spawning the highest possible item, check what's needed to upgrade it, spawn those goods, upgrade the item to its higher level and live on?

Yes, it may take a bit longer, but eventually you got what you wanted that way anyway.
And since you're already spawning items, spawning the raw materials for it doesn't seem too much different to me.

Thorin :)

They can literally just spawn in the item at max lvl.. their complaint it that they can't make it higher than T4 whereas before apparently they could.

(sorry in advance for my english)
we could spawn items +- without level restrictions and it was a fun game with the console, which helped to play pranks on friends or, as the author of the discussion, to do "transmogrification". Yes, these things most likely could be used by someone to spoil the lives of others on public servers, because items and their settings are transferred along with the character, but it's still sad that I can't continue to play around with friends on our server.

I'd say that this game should have social slots like Terraria.

Would need equipment slots first and, well...

My issue with transmogification systems is that they tend to add unnecessary grind to games that already have an inherent level of grind to them. They're also not as fluid as a social slots system given that if you want a different look, now you have to grind for whatever resources are required to change whatever items you're wearing.

Social slots kind of does away with that unnecessary grind and allows the player to have a lot more freedom in how they look. Nothing is set in stone either, so if the player decides they want to look a certain way as time passes, it's not an annoying hurdle that must be overcome.

I think more games should utilise a social slots equivalent moving forward. It's not even a new concept, but it's a bit baffling to me why a lot of games don't even bother. It does give me hope that a game like Cyberpunk 2077 added it with patches (Although some would argue that it should have been there at release, but I'm just happy it's there).

Definitely, it was a frequent issue in MH for the longest time with "how do I get skills I want without looking like a clown?"
But if we don't even have basic equipment screen in Valheim this far into development, can we really expect one in future?
Because if they keep that stance and were to add cosmetics in any form, what kind of lunatic would sacrifice even more inventory space that already is quite limited?

There's apparently a mod that adds equipment slots. I wonder if social slots is something that could be modded into this game as well.
