Full release date?

Hi,
When will this game be fully released? It's still early access so still waiting.

Also, how difficult is the game? Is it like Elden Ring? Does it have a story like Horizon zero Dawn?

I guess still a couple of years of developments before it's completed, but already worth to play if you don't rush through it

Judging by the pace of development, there's at least 2 more years of development before full. There's one biome currently in production, and one more that hasn't even been started. I don't anticipate the Ashlands being pushed out until Late summer at the earliest to the beta branch, and then sometime in the fall for the "official" live EA build.

What's here already is polished to a standard I'd rate above AAA developers. THe game is fully functional, almost bug-free, and extremely well designed top to bottom. It's hands-down one of the best games available on steam, early access or not.

i tryed few survival games and found valheim as best one...subsistence 6 years EA (700hrs) not bad but not to compare with interesting things from valheim...scum 4 years EA (1,3k hrs play time) not to compare with valheim even from playerbase or game itself. valheim (700 hrs) bug and glitch free and active developed, recomendation

Full release will be released when it's done and not before. :) (I'm paraphrasing.)

As an early access game, it's TOTALLY worth the money to buy. You will get some solid game time for an easy $20. You can play solo, which admittedly can be a tiny bit grindy sometimes, or play with a mate or two (or nine - there's room for 10 of you) and enjoy some company while you play. The game is completely open world, you can do what you like when you like at whatever pace you like. There's obvously difficulty jumps and some steep skill and gear curves but it's still fun.

The game is playable and fun but can not be compared to elden ring in any way.Elden ring is a 500 million dollar game this one is coffee jar money and is being done by a small dev team and uses unity engine . Worth a buy at this time but 2 -3 years until finished.

story is told more through show than tell, like the dark souls games, Combat will punish you until you learn to adapt( polearms and parrying are your friends), and there are some big difficulty spikes when transitioning to new biomes- swamp and mistlands are notable here. There are still 2-3 major biomes left to fill in, and the devs seem to take ~9 months or so per biome if the addition of mistlands was any indication. soooo, maaaybe august 2024? depends on how hard they go into updating the oceans and how much they intend to add/change after ashlands and deep north.

With two major biomes to go and whatever else it needs before 1.0, two years might be a decent ball park guess.

Go ahead and jump in now if you want. The game is fully playable even if it's not yet complete. There is a clear progression, but not a fully fleshed out story. I haven't played Elden Ring so I can't compare it there, but Valheim is a game that is said to be "too easy" by cautious players and "too hard" by fools who rush in. It will punish your mistakes, and sometimes teaches things the hard way, but the vast majority of mistakes are preventable.

I consider myself to be a B grade solo player and I do fine. (Never got the hang of parry timing, and resort to cheese at times, but it still works.)

Full release is likely still a long way off; at least a year, if not closer to two.

The game can be punishing, but proper preparation and cautious play will keep you alive.

It does not have a story.

This is an open world medium-low difficulty survival game. The backstory can be given in about one line: "odin put you here to kill some bad guys (bosses)". The game is about evenly split between combat, exploration, resource gathering, and building -- of course eventually exploration is no longer useful nor profitable beyond for fun, and you don't have to keep building if you don't want to after you have a functioning base, but most players enjoy building bases as a big part of the experience.
Its closest to no mans sky, to me ... wander around doing what you feel like doing each day, with a home and such when you want it.

the developers have done an OUTSTANDING job of making the game fun, mostly bug free, and high quality for the parts that are already done. Its not a EA to get a tiny sample of the content and then wait for years. Have no fear playing it early, it should not crash or give you beta testing blues; they dont wipe you out every month and make you do it all over, etc. The only thing about it being EA is more stuff will keep coming in and occasional rebalance of things (also rare, think there have been 5 total of these and only 2 were major).
