I would also like to know how you think this would work? The world has limited resources. Put a 100 people on a server and soon the world will devoid of resources. So then what?

No they are not. This is not a game meant for open servers but for small co-op groups. Open server=trolls trolls, and yep, more trolls, running around in god mode and spawning in things that will force you to delete your entire map.
