If you use devcommands you can build a Dwarven city, even complete with dwarf wards. That's the closest thing I can think of having an army other than large numbers of tamed wolves and lox.

They are neutral though. So accidentally hitting one of them is going to be the end of you no matter how good you are, if you have an army of them at your base.

I do think this game could be turned into a strategy game with basically the same layout, just you doing your thing from a birds eye perspective. It would be a fun concept, attacking fuling villages and the likes with armies you made. Making trade routes between several islands, having lox cavalry units, etc. Pvp would be more interesting too.

Perhaps the team will come out with Valheim 2 or something, where you play in a world BEFORE the Vikings have died and sought Valhalla. Then you could have kingdoms, servers with lots of players on it looking to conquer randomly generated maps.
