Don't be surprised if your terrain is doing funky things after using a portal. There are vids out of people losing some rather large builds due to particular regions' entire geometry suddenly dropping or raising by a meter or more.

Character and world files are seperate files... there is a pinned topic about this in good detail..
but yes if your game shows local or cloud saves of either or both .. these files (ma gically :-) ) located at 1) below

heres my TLDR version..
So world files are in 3 (at least places)

1) SP and 2023 versions and beyond
C:\Users\***\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim\worlds_local

2) SP and Steam cloud saves here

3) now SP and MP ALSO apparently to here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\yourSteamIDnumber\892970\remote

4) old SP pre 2023 H&H were at
