Sometimes they chase an enemy and then get stuck down a hill or something but they're still attached to the ward so even if you clear the camp, you may have missed that one somewhere else and he's still angry with you.

They sometimes spawn (initially) inside structures and in other wonky areas with very limited line of sight so they might suddenly appear/shoot out of nowhere after the fight.

Hehe. They don't seem to spawn at all. Like I said, never seen any return after dying.

as to where they appear, its their towers and camps, and out in the wild one at a time usually can be anywhere. I have one near my camp, who has survived quite a while.

Once you cleared their towers, They dont spawn back in there. It's basically yours now

they spawn about 20M behind you every time you make a sound, or constantly from the piles of twigs that count as their nest, its a large, bright purple bonfire looking thing, can't miss them.

I am not sure they respawn, but they are at some of the towers, and also dig sites near bones, and sometimes a tower on the coast with a dock. I have never seen them come back.
