Mouse button 1
When my bow is equipped and I draw back it shoots an arrow just as I click my mouse. I have changed out my mouse and there is no change. Any idea out there ???

Nah running out of stamina makes you put the bow down.
It does sound like a mouse problem. Occasionally my mouse acts up and does a quickshot when I don't want it to. Occasionally it double clicks for no reason too. Might be related.

In other threads on the same topic, unplugging and replugging the mouse in solved the problem.

When you hold LMB, you are focusing the target and the yellow circle is smaller and smaller, when it is minimal, you release LMB and the arrow start its way ...

1. I play keyboard/mouse, and find if I've forgotten to unplug a controller it wrecks havoc on Valheim.
2. I don't recall, but does running out of stamina cause a premature arrow release?

Does the player avatar 'punch' when you choose not to fire? I'm using a controller and I find that when I Rstick [PRESS], the avatar puts the bow away but then 'punches' the air[or anything in front]by playing that animation...

If GFBucks suggestion doesn't work, try uninstalling the game, manually delete the game folder to remove residue files, and reinstall the game.
Also, as a just-in-case, uncheck the Gamepad checkbox in settings.

There's no obvious reason for it messing up in game. Holding a button should hold. if it doesn't, either the mouse is glitching or another app is intercepting the inputs.
Check your windows settings. Keyboard settings like sticky keys and all that stuff should be disabled as a matter of course. Windows mouse settings has a click lock that may be messing things up, so make sure that's disabled. There may also be a click assist which turns mouse inputs into an autoclick.
If verifying files doesn't work, you'll have to dig deeper and into stranger places to find the problem.
