I am about day 200 into my first character. I was thinking about fighting the Elder. But I did not want to fight him until I knew I could beat Eikthyr without getting killed. So I rolled a new temp toon and put him in a new temp world. Day 5 I killed the boss using a lvl2 flint axe and lvl2 wooden shield. It was super easy.

But, then it got interesting. I noticed what appeared to be mountains on the map of my fly in. So I went to check it out. Tiny strip of meadow going between 2 dark forests to the mountain. I ran up looking for wolves. Found one, got killed.

Came back, dug a pit and was taming my first wolf on day 7.

I then wanted to check out the Meadow area and see what it was like, I had not explored much of anything at this point. Spawn was super close to Eikthyr and I had just stayed that area. So I swam across a small river and followed the shore of the meadow around a small bay. Saw what appeared to be a meadows island not too far off shore. Made a raft and sailed across.

This was indeed an island, almost entirely meadows, with just a sliver of black forest biome on it, on the north side. The island is due north of spawn and Eikthyr altar. What made me go wow, was that near the center of the isle I found several star boars and a maypole. I may actually keep this world, even though I made it just to be temporary.
