Depth of Field is fairly real, as your eye lenses do adjust to near- or far-field view. So I like it actually.

But in reality it is nothing like it is in games. Especially when playing third person.
Frankly I just see it as a trick to save on distance rendering. To each their own, when I was young and healthy I was a landscape photographer by hobby. So I may be biased.

Either way... OP is complaining about blurry vision.. pretty sure this could be a big culprit ha ha.

Exactly. SDV is not blurry at all.

Personnaly, I use a Unity tweak to reduce the large square particles by 4 or 8, without changing any textures. That is enough, along with the great visual effects, to make me forget about textures.

As others have said turn off motion blur but even more importantly turn off Depth of Field. That must be made for people with coke bottle glasses to simulate their reality. For any normal people not used to seeing the world through a camera lens it's just awful.

Use of the term normal is not intended as a slight to people with poor vision or shut ins.
I know everything is relative so the typical forum poster might actually reverse what is considered normal... so you can just ignore that part and consider it my opinion only.

This is a deliberate pixel-art style of the game. I can understand it putting some people off, but it's good enough for me to completely lose myself in it sometimes.

Turn off motion blur might help. As for the art it is intentional and a known thing about the game, it will not change.

does your resolution match your screen, if not it'll make it rather blurry n seem off.

Yeah, this. Monitors have a "Native Resolution" and if you've changed that or the game is selected to a different resolution it will be blurry. If you aren't happy with the SIZE and changed resoution to fix that, change it back. In the Settings there's a SCALE setting that lets you change the size without screwing up the resolution.
Also might turn off Motion Blur, Cromatic Aberration, and Depth of Field. Play with them and see what looks right but the big one is get the resolution of your monitor correct.

Don't worry, your brains will accomodate quickly, the same as when you switch from 4K 120 Hz to HD 30 Hz. No more head aches very soon.

Or you can just wait for the author to update the mod, as usual.

yeah i dont think thats going to happen, and i agree its really bad, i had to download a mod for hd textures and well the new update killed it and now im back to the normal textures that give me head aches while i play...
