just wondering how to do some building stuff
how do you turn a wall vertically like not just rotating it so its horizontal square of area is changed but its verticle square of area if you get what i mean

You mean so its oriented like the floor pieces? You don't, walls and walls and floors are floors.

Those were probably done with mods. There are some that allow you to change an object's orientation.
