How did you get griefed out of interest, what did they do?
If you joined a random server, what was done might actually be allowed on that server depending on how the admins run the world...

Also there is a warning about playing online with your character that stuff you have on you is put at risk...

it wasnt allowed on the server, he teleported to my base and destroyed my ward and took all my crap

public server basically, unless you have a ward, anyone can use your stuff, take your stuff, dismantle ur stuff, etc.
What seems to have happened is someone used the OP portal to get inside the base, broke the ward (which doesn't require pvp) and as said, took everything.
The devs have a LITERAL warning about possible griefing on public servers on the join a game listing.

To be fair a lot easier than in a PvP game...
But yeah, random people is random, play with friends or look for a better server.

wait what? you're playing a viking game and complaining about getting raided?

You were warned that this could happen in the main menu yet you joined a public server, your decisions have consequences now suck it up and take your loss.

if you had nothing to say towards helping me find a solution why did you bother leaving a message here? i wasn't raided i was griefed by somebody there is a large difference here

Some here are not very helpful towards newbies, or if you have messed up and ask for help for a solution you will know about it.
