Wind mechanic is ass

It's not fun or realist, you have to either wait around or wiggle your boat like an idiot. Just make it you can decide where you go, it's just better

Yeah I was wondering if it's changed cause I've been sailing heaps and realized I haven't been using the moder power so I was wondering have I gotten better or has the game changed a bit

You can also use dev commands to control the direct and strength of the wind.

Nah, it's Fun, i like this mechanic in Sea of Thieves, also in Valheim.
I mean, there's a solution for head wind, it's a power from Moder Trophy to make the wind always to be Tailwind.

Tack and Jibe.

Simply making it so you can go where your want is not necessarily better, just more boring.

You live on a different world where the wind goes where you want it to and you can sail without tacking?

for 5 minutes once a day. And be warned it doesn't work at the edge of the world, once you get near the wind is always going towards the edge, and one in that current your going over the edge no mater what. :)

Just be thankful the wind always blows in Valheim, even if it's against you. In real life, sailors ran the risk of dying of starvation or illness if their ships were becalmed and stranded in the open waters. Be thankful Valheim doesn't have the doldrums.

Yes because the modders know every single flaw in the game, just like how if they hate anything, their opinion becomes priority number 1.
