-Bronze phase
Trolls are excellent copper breakers :)
Tin can be found in those barrels around abandoned towers
Now we have bronze for a pickaxe to get a full set of upgraded bronze equipment to at least survive the mountains somewhat.

-Iron phase
Stagbreaker can be used to find iron for an iron pickaxe and crafting upgrades.

-Silver phase
Stagbreaker and iron pickaxe for silver.

No antler pickaxe needed, no swamp key needed, no wishbone needed.

I'm guessing the question is, who else has wasted time on ridiculous things?

I'm currently doing a none boss run, see what i can do without ever beating a single boss. Currently getting some cash for Ymir flesh so i can make my full set of Wolf armor, cape, shield, frostnir and draugr fang and all upgrades.

One time we had like 7 or 8 decent bases, and each had several satellites. But our portal stuff was daisy chained all wonky and we kept getting lost. One night i got tired of it and made a central portal chamber, linked everything, built a nice little rest stop inside. Spent like 4 hours re-configuring the roof to make it look nice and called it a night.
Woke up the next day to find they deleted the server

I too have found this. Its one aspect i feel Iron Gate need to address.
You can't even fully upgrade troll hide before you can craft the bronze armour (personally i prefer the troll armour so i kept it anyway) But even then the bronze armour itself is kind of useless for the way i personally play and i've seen a few people echo that same sentiment.

This all said, balancing usually comes in waves. So i do expect this to be reworked some time in the future so its not a huge issue.

Alright from what I gather OP is talking about how he went looking for caves (presumably for the flaming cores, name escapes me rn) and found two caves didn't loot them properly and had to turn to burning food for coal. Also something about using trolls to harvest fine wood and bush trolls (I guess??).

To be fully honest I'm not sure why he felt the need to tell us but eh, cool I guess

yeah but the conclusion into the last sentence "Fun game but you upgrade gear before even levelling it" suggests that this story is related. if "upgrading" is meant as swapping to the next armor/tool tier and "levelling" as upgrading an armor/tool in the forge then this sentence would fit to the game difficulty curve allowing you to skip a few armor/weapon sets, but the story is about early game/inefficient methods for getting fine wood/coal. so either op is not aware of the bronze axe and kiln or he tried to push ahead regardless of his tools -> fits to the title "Wasting time lol"

Pretty sure the OP is speaking to the epidemic of income inequality and systemic racism that has pervaded modern society. He fails, however, to realize that these problems have existed since time immemorial. Or does he? His word choices reveal something deeper. "Loot", "properly", seem to indicate a profound understanding of the overarching decades old plight.
