Body piles in crypts can't be hit with an atgeir, and possibly other weapons as well. It's reminiscent of what happens elsewhere when something is at a slightly different elevation, but this is a flat floor. Repeated attempts to thrust or sweep simply go over the pile. Will try an axe, if the game will let me switch weapons in combat.
