No Man's Sky really Ruined my expectations.
Damn if that game never existed I think I be a bit more hyped... It feels like a slap to the wrist especially how we should be on what our 3rd content update by now?

Sry but this is a joke right? Do you even understand what you are saying? You say that the NMS dev have better updates? Do you know the HISTORY of the game and how long it took them to add anything worthwhile? Even now many say NMS is incredible empty.
Just no.
Just no.

No Man's Sky made a great comeback ye, I was very negative of that game at launch. But realize this game has a much smaller studio prolly. They tackled one of the biggest issues the game had, fps performance. It is so much better now they can easily let it rest forever really, i hope they continue to improve but they could. Damn if that game never existed I think I be a bit more hyped... It feels like a slap to the wrist especially how we should be on what our 3rd content update by now?

You seem confused.
If this was NMS it would be a dumpster fire at official Full Release and not meet its promises until several years after full release.
Valheim hasn't reached Full Release and won't for a couple years now.
As is Valheim is already far ahead of NMS with silly things like actual multiplayer and base building mechanics, stuff NMS didn't have on Full Release.
If this was NMS H&H wouldn't of happened until like 3 years from now.

Doesnt change the fact that nms had literally no content update the first year
What? No Mans Sky had 3 significant updates in it's first year after release. The Foundation update 3 months after release which added basebuilding and a heap of other content and improvements. The Path Finder update 7 months after release which also added lots of new content and vehicles. The Atlas Rises updated added 1 year after release which added a whole new storyline and plenty of other stuff.
Saying there was literally no content update in the first year is just plain out wrong.

Well granted base building was important but it took already nearly 6 months to add it (august to november) pathfinder wasnt big update and next bigger update was 12 months after release.

You realize No Mans Sky was the biggest lump of cold ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when it launched, and for well over a year afterwards, correct? It's taken 4 years for them to approach something close to the things they promised

I am glad NMS recovered mostly from the launch but still its not a good comparison.
Imagine valheim had no base building for 5-6 months.

One Man's Lie... is horribly broken and no fun despite the amount of content, 6 years and this game is going nowhere, finally bought that scam game 2 weeks ago for 50% off, complete nonsense to bring it here to our lovely Valheim community.
and Fallout 76 is more completed than NMS just sayin...
Maybe OP lost all of his desires to play games, happened to me too after playing NMS...

I admit I forgot foundation update in between, but still nms took forever to lift off. At least 2 full maybe even 3 years.

OP forget the previous road map that thing was a hype train lie, this is what we get a 10 line patch notes of content a modder could implement in a week alone

Quality bait you got there. I just bought Valheim today and can see why everyone is into it. NMS despite what they keep adding to it, doesn't know what it wants to be yet..
