Biggest... bees...ever.
5 queen bees weigh 1 pound. Could you imagine how big they would have to be to weigh that much in real life?

I wonder how much the death skeeters weight. I'll have to check the weight of the needles.

They are no doubt related to Wallace's Giant Bees, which have a wingspan of 2.5 inches and are as large as your thumb. https://www.cbc.ca/news/science/wallaces-giant-bee-1.4673474

if the bees are as big as the flying insects on NMS and they had big stingers. man i would not want to live in Valheim! One look at those bug suckers and i'd be so anxious and stressed i'd likely pass out just looking at the barbed stinger.

I love how we are talking about bees and some people have to gripe about ore. AMAZING.
I want to make a good metheglin now, and I need to find some recipes.

That might work as head canon if the recipe wasn't one ore per ingot. Not that I want to give IG any ideas about 'improving' that ratio!
You are right. If the ratio is one unit of ore to one unit of copper, then the fact that the copper weighs more means smelting on site is worse than useless. And it was so much fun.
Where did you obtain this information? Maybe I can impeach the source. :)

Viking-bees living in Valheim are known for their size since they gotta compete with vikings.

Yes. And copper ore somehow gets 20% heavier when you smelt them down to bars. The devs are under no obligation to make the game realistic but I see where you are coming from.

Metal usually is denser than the waste rock from which it is extracted. Depending on how much waste is in the ore, ingots could be more or less heavy.
Smelting scrap iron should have no effect on weight. I was smelting on site for about ten hours before this thought crossed my mind. :)

Have you seen the bees in Minecraft? This is just a thing in Sweden apparently.

That is a very good point. Have you seen the bees in Minecraft? This is just a thing in Sweden apparently.
At least Valheim's bees don't look gigantic; although they are around the same size as a perch, Minecraft's are around the size of a pig. :D

Bees around the hive look sensible, but the queens placed on an item stand...
Between the two games though, my favourite part of this is how Minecraft hangs a lampshade on it by adding a cartoon 'plop' noise as they squeeze out of the hive block, which is slightly smaller than one bee.

The game doesn't say what unit is used for weight. Since it's a Swedish game I'd assume kilograms. 200 grams is still a lot for a bee, though.

That's a big bee, but that also means, large amounts of mead, metheglin, and melomels! Have anyone else make mead, metheglin, and melomels at home?
