Is there other merchant apart from Haldor?

Because I basically bought everything from him.

Now. the Jewelaries and coins are worthless.

Nope.

You can build coin piles and/or stacks, to use excess gold. Also, treasure chests can be built if you find all the materials. You can also keep buying bait for fishing, if you fish.

It'd be cool if we could start smelting gold into bars to inlay our armor(s) with or make it into other decorative materials. Or even use the gems for stuff. Or yeah more merchants/NPCs I guess; the developers seem pretty content with the big-empty that is this viking skinned survival crafting game.

In my opinion, fishing is broken.

You can only acquire the bait (and fishing rod) from the trader, and then it requires skilling up to be able to catch fish... so you're effectively grinding so you can pay for the privilege of grinding some more.

To add insult to injury, the reward for maxing out fishing (while catching one of each type of fish) is a hat that adds +20... to your already maxed-out fishing skill.

Remember - you can put dvergr ciclets on a stands, so this will work as a light source. So you might spend a lot for your base lighting.

A merchant will always be a sink to dump in the valuables you find while exploring or digging. He is a good place to introduce items that improve QoL, and are not game changers in any biome. Some such items can be locked behind bosses' progression but shouldn't be required to play the game, even in a competitive/coop way. Now what when there are no consumable items and no items that can be needed in several places?

In Valheim, Haldor could sell some consumables that are normally craftable by the player but are locked behind a boss/a biome. These items wouldn't unlock their recipe upon buying them, and they could be used as if the player had crafted them.
In short, a (very) rich player could bypass some game's linear progress, but not on a definitive basis, only on a item by item basis, if there is enough money, that is if player's main activity is exploration or to a lesser extend mobs' farming. Let's recall that maxing out exploration is not required to "win" the game nor to renew the daily consumable, thanks to breeding; growing and mobs respawning.

Fishing poles can occasionally be found in frost caves.

The dverger circlet on an armor stand provides a nice bright, semi-directable, light source that requires no fuel to produce light.
