Cart in swamp is amazing.

As above. On my 2nd playthrough now and doing everything legit (just carted just about a whole swamp's iron home by longship), and moving materials had been an issue until I decided to make a cart. Where I previously discarded it as useless, it is surprisingly good in the swamps. You can even swim with it!

Give it a try. Carts need love too.

Just remember to stick close to the coast, and don't sail in storms, because if your stuff sinks, it's gone for good!

you can also do this with wolves, just hope you don't run into a serpent in the middle of the ocean.... sometimes i wonder if they are still swimming around out there hahaha

but yes, carts! i think i have like 25 lying around my base. i like to leave one at any entrance for easy emptying of inventory, once it starts to fill up i transfer over to my warehouse chests.

If sinking is imminent, smash the cart with an axe. The cargo will float.

Really? I'm still pretty early game (on my way to second boss) and a cart was the first thing on my mind when mining for copper, I could carry so much more materials and instead of running back and forth, gain a lot of time. When i noticed i could actually craft one, apparently you're still pretty fast pulling it around too so now i'm mining stuff with a double smile on my face.

Ha, easy. I like the game for what it is, and I play with friends.

Nah.. I go full yolo. I won't try and drag a serpent to shore with a full boat, so I guess 80% yolo, but still, not going to run super careful either.

Are you projecting your own tendencies/boredom onto another player? Your expectations/desires belong to YOU, not everyone else.

Just move around swamp with a cart and a hoe and level terrain when moving across watery areas to raise the terrain as best you can so you dont have to swim. Once you create enough pathways the swamp becomes very very fast and easy with the cart.
