i dont talk its bad they kill me when falling ,never happened to me lol ,its just stupid and unrealistic so u fall 10 trees while u chopped one....i chopped alot of trees in real lol ,they broke smaller bushes and trees but never fell 10 other trees :D

i killed a deer by chopping down a tree.

i personally love the tree mechanic, and would that it rather not change. its a great way to fell more trees at once or even trees you cant break yet (like birch in early game). also love when a tree falls on a mob that is sneaking up on me that i have not noticed, have given me a laugh alot of times. but to each his own, i dont expect everyone to like what i like. just putting in my thoughts

I get that it can be annoying if you actually wanted to preserve the forest - but since you can just replant (standard) trees, it's not much of a problem imho. I too kind of like how satisfying the domino effect can be.

I've never been hit by a tree because it generally falls away from you and I start walking backwards as soon as it starts to topple. If you can't dodge a tree, good luck with a Troll. :)

For people like monsterfurby (and myself) who like the trees, the "Tree Respawn" mod https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/37 will plant a sapling if you clear the tree stump away. This will obviously only apply to trees that can currently be planted because they have a seed/sapling in the game.

The cascades of falling trees I've managed to make happen are some of the highlights of this game. Especially if you plant a really dense forest yourself and then take to chopping it down it can be copious amounts of fun.

I packed a lot of pine trees really close together - I can hardly walk between them - and the cascades are somehow very satisfying. :D

The Damage done by trees already on the ground can do upwards of 80 through armor. In my case I had two trees logs on the ground one was behind me the other was in front. The log I was facing came towards slowly so i jumped and even jumping it touched me. Because i was in contact with another log when I jumped it inflicted upwards of 80 killing me. That is a failing tree mechanic! Unfortunately this is not the only time that a ridiculous amount of damage was done by trees already on the ground. That is why I now consider trees the highest damage dealing creature, object, or thing in this game!
