Question

As the exploration aspect is one of the most important things in Valheim, will we get more biomes and more stuff to discover?
Love to see what kind of updates are coming.

I 'finished' Valheim before and I am not entirely sure if I want to start a new game, because of the new update (I am looking for more exploration updates, but thats a personal note. I love your game!! :)).

Thank you!

There are poison arrows, but they're not really worth it.

The Draugr Fang bow adds poison damage to any arrow fired from it.

Eventually you get access to a bow that adds poison damage to whatever you shoot from it.

The poison damage from dragur fang firing poison arrows stacks. That's the only kind of elemental damage that stacks. Later game you can craft ooze bombs. They are an AOE poison attack that doesn't affect you if you are the one that threw the ooze bomb.

No way to add poison to weapons unless they come with poison damage.

Coat for the mountains comes with progression into the mountains. Start with frost resistance mead and the swamp boss' drop and you'll eventually find the materials for a nice coat.

Torch won't keep you warm, but dropping a trail of fires everywhere you go or using frost resistance mead will do just fine.

You can't add poison to weapons.

Wolf chest or cape gives frost resistance. Until you have one of those, use frost resist potions to easily travel in the mountains.

Only join the test branch if your wanting either,
To play the latest version,
You want to help find bugs and report them.

If you want to do either one or both, then yes.
If not, then wait until its released on stable branch.

I do not think spawned plants will regrow. But there is a mod , I think called "Plant anything" that pretty much lives up to its name.

My first thoughts are: severe storms cause erosion and deformation to structures and I'm guessing it can happen to terrain as well. And also, The lore seems to imply the earth is "alive" allowing change and movement. And maybe the troll walking around can stomp the ground cause the terrain to ripple slightly.

This seems pretty close and covers some of the factors but I think it is more simple. Storms cause for example flints to reappear in the tidepools and rivers near oceans. I think that possibly some of the stones under the terrain might be replenishing themselves. Large creatures definitely can crush the landscape and they will battle each other sometimes when you're not present. I have heard that copper veins and such might reset, so that includes large boulders too over time. Haven't really witnessed this myself though.

One other point: workbenches stop creatures from spawning. If the workbench radius also stops terrain objects from respawning this might account for the variance in covered spots. Esp. when you think of the radius extending underground to stones in the dirt.

One was in a mountain castle I had built. Just after the terrain / instance optimize pass update I started to see it. The area I had removed popped up through what I had built.

Then many worlds later there was a tower in the mountains I made into a rest house. I was going to cut away the dirt around the stairs to make it secure but every time I returned the area would fill back up partly and cover the stairs again. This I kind of figured was related to adding in the RNG stone tower on the side of the mountain making it a bit wonky... No big deal or anything just odd.

Most recently in my last world I had a spot in the Black Forest by a troll cave set into a steep river bank. I cut away and leveled an area to the rear of the troll cave entrance about the height of the top of the troll cave. Set up a forge in the area with smelters etc. but randomly I would return and find the ground dropped away or humped up. One hit with the level or pickax popped back to "normal" or what I had made correctly. After about twenty times it seems kind of stable? Seem to fix it less and less but have also move mostly away from the base and notice it only when using portals there.

Now that I think about it the area may be a bit unstable due to the troll cave model being put in there.

Do you have any RNG game structures in the area?
No idea if this count's as to what your asking but me and my wife sailed around and found the first biome area but it was really weird because it had houses with Draugrs there and 3 Draugr spawners in 3 of the houses. Which I have never seen in the first biome before but we killed everyhting and this spot is where I cleared and flattend the ground. There is also like a river close to the area the ground keeps poping up or down.
This is absolutely it!

The drauger villages are RNG spawn areas that populate meadows.

The default terrain mixed with the drauger village "blueprint" <for lack of a better word> is
most likely causing conflicts with ground leveling.

Dude did you not understand what I said...I cleared the spot then I used the hoe and made the ground flat smooth and all the same level. But after doing this if I log and come back some spots randomly rise and some lower. For the first 10 times I just fixed it but it keeps doing it.

the base for the game isnt flat. if you pick down do the base, you will always find it shifting... often the same way as ground level elevation. (mountains tend to have really high base levels).
I don't understand what your saying the hoe tool is to smooth and flatten the ground. I did this but it keeps reverting or randomly changing I want this to stop.
