Thanks all. The fish were in one stack and it wasn't a world save. I think the fish just flopped out of my pockets.
Valheim needs more baskets.

Did the world save just as you entered the teleport? Maybe you arrived in a previously saved state.. ie with less fish.

I know cooking items can be an issue as well.

For example if you are making queens jam and have two stacks of raspberries.. if you finish off one stack it can make the other vanish.

Were the fish all in one stack?

I have got to the point of making sure I have only one stack of materials for an item I am cooking.

Fish are a bit of an annoyance to get so I really hope this gets figured out and fixed at some point.

didnt happen to me 5 fish in the pocket arrived still 5 fish..

Sorry never had 20 fish to try it out. Try with 11 fish and see what happens. Are they all in one stack or two?
