Please fix mistlands
Balistas are annoying as hell, shoot own damm lox and pets, star 1 seekers are overtuned and so much missing armor uppgrades. I love the new magic but add more thank you.

Too many Multiple mob type encounters! I consistently run into fights with Seekers, 1* seekers, Gjalls, Seeker soldiers, etc.. too much to handle and is ruining the game for me. Unless i play solo and switch to GOD mode and auto kill everything.. which in itself ruins the game.. I don't mind fighting a few but all the same time and very often.. sucks

I use Serpent shield + Mistwalker/Frostner. You can't parry but slowing them and dodging hitting the mobs works great. Serpent shield gives you the resist to pierce without the loss of armor. It also has plenty of block power for soldiers. Bad part is the movement so don't try to run away with it out. I don't think people take enough advantage of the dodge mechanic in this game which is also a big part of the problem some have in this biome.

Didn't expect backlash for offering root harnesk as a solution with seeker damage. "Noob trap" was an ironic joke though lol. It's the best chest hands down for the biome (cover fire resistance as stated) with less movement speed reduction and many enemies have pierce. Learning the animations and managing stamina perfectly is the best solution obviously, but it's a perfect tip for the posted complaint.

This is as easy as looking up the numbers on youtube ... which shows root harnesk being way better than the current best heavy armor alternative. The only attack doing more damage in mist is the seeker lunge and the soldier, but if you get hit by those, you are doing something else wrong than having too little armor.
I don't know how you look up numbers on YouTube, and I think it's more complex than what you suggest. Fighting a single seeker or soldier is not a problem, at least for me. The problem comes when you have multiple, and then it's more difficult to pick and choose what you get hit with.

The harnesk is fine, and you should be carrying a few fire potions anyway to deal with gjalls when they catch you by surprise or the terrain isnt suitable.
Atgeirs are always a good idea however. Plus building a block trainer to get your skill to 100 is recommended also. You can search "valheim blocking trainer" on youtube for a video on how to do that. NB- dont build it in the plains or a lox will stomp it flat sooner or later. Meadows is best if possible, but black forest and mountains will work too.
or just use the elder spawns for it. way less complicated and works aswell. but i found block leveling fully unneeded. perfect blocks is the way to go anyway.
i never once used a fire resist potion in mistlands. gjall attacks are so slow you rarely take one to begin with and even if you do it wont come close to killing you if you play with 2 health 1 stam food combo and some good heavy armor.
i tested the harnesk. i didnt write that out of the blue without testing it myself. its worse than just useing padded/carapace believe me.

yeah. 1 seeker is just not a threat. wait for attack. perfect block. 1 shot it with sword secondary. soliders are harmless and just take time to kill imo. good bow training units tough^^
star seekers are another story. especially 2 stars. avoid beeing hit at all times for 2 star ones.

According to Fandom wiki, ticks deal pierce damage when attached. Broods also deal pierce damage (as much as 60 in fact, not to be ignored). In addition to those, root harnesk can also help with avoiding a sudden death from sneaky dvergr rogue you managed to upset. I played through entirety of mistlands with root harnesk. You don't need it to succeed, how much use you find for it depends how you fight and which enemies are more trouble for you.

I'm not going to do the math, but you lose a significant amount of total armor value using the root in place of the padded or carapace chest piece. The ticks are completely nullified by a polearm, and I never had any issues with standard seekers. That's just my experience, of course.

yeah when i realized that there is no levitation staff i was completely broken, why make a terrain like that and not add a levitation staff.

Use root harnesk if you can't handle seekers but bring a fire resistance mead if you take that route. Feather cape helps traverse the terrain tremendously. And don't build a ballista that literally says it targets everything near your tamed animals lmao.

this isnt morrowind. such a staff would defeat the point of travel entirely. and defeat the point of the feather cape we got.
1 star seekers are fine. thier dmg is totally normal. our own armor haveing only 1 upgrade level is not however. hence they feel overpowered. but its not the mob causeing this. its the devs beeing stupid and not releaseing these upgrades already. this messes the balance. i hope they notice thier mistake there quickly. especially for the armor one. carapace is pretty much not an upgrade currently due to this alone.
ballista will get tweaked in the new patch thats in testing. should release pretty soon. this will prevent it shooting everything but at a cost or rather a choice. make sure you stack up on trophys :)
the only "fix" mistlands needs is the devs to add forge upgrades 3 and 4 finally.

dont use this harnesk. common noob trap. why? seekers have 2 different dmg types. only 1 is pierce. the other is BLUNT. if you get hit with the blunt one while wearing this youll get obliterated in no time due to lack of armor rating.
sadly thier flying lunge attack IS blunt dmg. and that is thier most dangerous move as they are super fast when flying.
the poke on the ground is pierce. but its also the easiest move to perfect block/parry aswell.
thier double lunge on ground is also blunt dmg.
plus this wont help with tick dmg. nor will it do ANYTHING againist a soldier or gjall instead itll penalize you.
not worth it believe me. its much easier and safe to learn to outrange a seekers attacks. they are easy to read enemies.
or if all else fails get thors polearm and spam spin to win. this stuns all seekers up to 1 star instantly. dont try this on 2 stars. run. 2 star seekers can end you with 2 hits even with the best armor and food currently. not worth fighting. or lure them to a dwarf base. theyll handle them quickly.
