player tombstone despawning.

Not playing on any server, just private, so the possibility of someone else looting is 0.

Got killed in the swamp, went back to get my stuff, but the tombstone that you interact was not there, even though the map tells it is.

Help please? I've lost 4 hour of game play.

P.S: Later confirmed that somehow the game world had rolled back for 3 game days. Don't know how. 3 days ago I was no dead so the tombstone had gone through some sort of time travel paradox and decided to disappear.

i'd quit the game first then verify game files then load back in and see if its appeared.
There is the devcommands to rebuild all your weapons. Look in the guides for it that at least can rescue you .

Always zoom in your map to max and remark with another symbol. That way if you're killed in corpse run, you will sttill have it marked.

Also, isn't it easier to spot on a gravestone at night, be it partly stuck in the scenery?

Yeah but swamp at night on corpse run is less than ideal.

That sucks.

I have noticed the map location is fairly rough, tombstone is not quite where map shows it usually. Not saying you are mistaken, but do take a good look around before you give up on it. It may be fully or partially clipped in another object also.

I posted on the bug tap, but it was for more serious. The map had somehow rolled from 101 days to 97 days. I logged out right after I got killed so maybe that why it got so screwed up? So the tombmarker is basically gone.

The world had rolled back from 101days to 97 days. Map markers were present but all the terrain and key feature is 97 days one. Talk about time travel. Just like time travel, the tomb marker got stuck in timeloop paradox and is gone.
Starting from scratch right now, but I will have to you devcommands to get the swamp key and....that belt the merchant sells.
Didn't know there were devcommands thanks.

Is it possible that it is inside a crypt? The area in the tomb maps to the exterior, meaning if you went down a tunnel in the crypt the marker could be ways from the tomb entrance.

I've had this happen before but My crypt got bumped into that white space between zones, couldn't get it back. In fact if me or any of my mates tried to get close the game would crash.

maybe it is location where u die? i just started and when i had died ,and i had to log ..nxt day i was still able to retrieve my tomb stone.

yeh had this problem in swamp myself a few times, esp if you die in mid air/under low branchs or in the pre built huts. Lost a few sets of armour etc this way.

All I can suggest is suck it up and make a new set and progress more slowly.
