Valheim or Icarus?

I love both games, but it isn't even really a question at this point, Icarus is OWNING valheim. Every update I see from Valheim usually begins with "we're back from vacation, or holiday" and every update from Icarus is a weekly MAJOR UPDATE adding content, mechanics, and stuff to do in the game. I've been waiting for Valheim to do something Major for what feels like an eternity now :( I hoped it was coming this summer, but all we've gotten is some screen shots of food ;\

Outpost, the thing where you have nothing to do ? no threat, no ressources, no ennemy, right ?

This thread is just one big failed Icarus sales pitch. Mods should close it.

Clearly most of the responses havent even loaded Icarus up yet lol, it has a permanent, persistent mode called outpost, akin to a custom server in Conan, Ark, or any other survival game. I'm just interested to hear peoples opinions. I love both games, but Valheim has literally done jack squat compared to Icarus' content drip and it frustrates me as a survival game enthusiast.

Owning them at what exactly? its not a race or competition between the games except by players who chose to see it as

Im referring to the content drip, updates, bug fixes, etc. for 46 straight weeks pretty much Icarus has added a major update to their game, which over time has evolved it into quite an experience where as Valheim gave me most of what I enjoyed about it on launch, and since has left me wanting for more. A game with such a huge burst of success and such a large following, it surprises me that an under the radar, or in some cases like here, completely unheard of game like Icarus keeps pumping out content so rapidly.

Just for context, I probably have 3x more play time in Valheim than I do Icarus.

Your worried about how other people are spending their time? Are you being all you can be? Are you pumping out quality game after quality game between posts wanting to know why some people do things different to other people. sigh, I'll never understand why some think they deserve another person's creativity now! maybe try do some of that creation yourself if you think its so easy

Never said it was easy, and I'm on a "discussion" forum, having a discussion genius. Go be self righteous somewhere else, no one gives a ♥♥♥♥.

It's a 30€, 65% positive game, so it must be the flawless gem that IGS should strive for.

Icarus does not appear to have good gamepad support and the head mouse isn't very good for FPS or 3rd PS yet. Of those two choices, there is no contest for me.

The answer is Valheim.

I've watched some Icarus (not recently) and it seems too linear and quest oriented to be realistically compared to Valheim. I'm not saying it isn't fun but I wouldn't put them in the same category.

Valheim, any time of the day. Icarus fails hard. So hard that I am thinking this is just a frustated developer of Icarus trying to win souls.

Icarus is an Unreal 5 asset flip. It's not worth considering.

I can't speak for icarus, but I can say valheim is generally just a good game. It doesn't *need* the updates to justify the sale for me. There's more than enough content for me to enjoy for my 20 dollar investment. And hey, down the line I'll still be getting more.
