Um.... because they are adding it in for when people start fresh to have more options.

A lot of you tend to forget this game is still in early access.

If you want end game stuff, go mine and smelt flametal. No use for it, but I reckon that is as end game as you can get at the moment.

The new content is for older areas.
The game is not finished yet.

If you want to experience the update proper, start fresh!

I know it's tired but this game isn't done. And it hasn't been released yet.

Check out the official Valheim discord community, use the suggestions sub, or just use the suggestions sub right here on Steam. Or the one on Reddit.

My point is , the game isn't finished or perfect. You have the chance to improve this game, under no obligation.

If you want to help be part of the developers community and provide constructive feedback through the proper channels i'm sure it'd be welcome.
