true i admit, later in the game you get stuff that will boost stamina with 600% so that saves a bunch, but still even then when you run out of it you cannot step over a snail anymore somehow you cannot lift your foot high enough xD

well now i also must say that i do think it makes sense building and farming uses stamina because in real life hard work makes you tired also.. but suddenly freeze on the spot haha well ok remembers me i believe in skyrim or older elder scrolls games this also happend but whatever.

There's no other use for yellow mushrooms than stamina potions. It's probably not a bad idea to be brewing some at all times unless something more important needs to be made. Learned that while ago.

imo it just need two minor changes:

1) the pause after an action should be shortened from .5 seconds to .25 seconds through the skills system.
2) Stamina reduction for weapons should be front loaded so you get all the reduction (33%) by 50 skill points.

both of these would work together to improve the overall feel of the system. Its not the best but only needs a couple of tweaks imo.

Stamina MANAGEMENT is what is required. As long as you keep fed with the 3 best foods (use stamina-heavy foods while out exploring or doing tasks such as chopping trees)... always keep the rested buff active (if it runs out, stop and make fire to refresh it)... and refrain from sprinting every step of the way, and jumping over everything.

You don't have to walk 100% of the time, but you also should not RUN 100% of the time either.

If you are managing your stamina properly, you barely even notice any times when it is depleted... slow down a bit and make sure you keep your buffs activated, and it's not so bad.

i agree that you might feel a bit slow by your stamina consumption/preservation and absolute mad low base health

but considering how poor the boss fight mechanics are, its more or less justified
but if the game gets more mechanical boss fights in the future then id probably start asking for more realistic stamina consumption with more abilities such as shield bashing/interrupts and etc

but as the game is played right now, clunky stamina and health is to be expect for balancing reasons

Actually i dont even remember what happens when stamina runs out have completed both games but whatever.... In those games i dont feel the same frustration when stamina runs out.... It stays nice to play

We modded it to increase stam regen by 50% at all times. Even warm, dry, and well rested it was painfully slow. Combat being 85% "stand or walk around enemies until you have enough stamina to dodge/block and swing back" does not make a game "brutal" or "hardcore".

Things the devs could do to make it better is to scale the regen with how high your max is to make stam food even more desirable, or make tasty mead last 1 minute instead of 10 seconds to give you even more of a health vs stam choice.

We don't want to fully convert it into Dynasty Warriors per se, but let's be real here. Vanilla stam regen sucks.

You're controlling a viking in a game. It's not a real viking. Just to point out. Vikings don't really care about insults, they are dead.

Stamina is a game mechanic and combat mechanic.
