Fish

I am playing my first map after the Mistlands update. I was running along the shore when a fish came flying by my head. Are fish supposed to jump out of the water? I've collected 2 sizeable fish this way.

Cut fish is cut fish, i think they are just used for different bait, and to look nice in the water.

It happens. I used to find some washed up on shore, because they're not too smart and the water is unpredictable.

well there is a other difference too, pretty sure the different type of fish also gives more, not only depending on its "level"

Unfortunately they take up a lot of inventory / chest space, since they are only stackable with the same the weight (I assume that's what the number is) and type. You also have to combine certain types before you can use them.

I haven't yet figured out what happens when you use, say two of the fish types with weight 1 and the third one, is, say weight 5. Do I only get the amount of fish that I would get with 3 weight 1 fish?

It seems like you get a decent amount of fish, so maybe it adds all the numbers together to determine how many you get?

The number is the size of the fish, you do get more raw fish out of it when you do that recipe in the cooking station.
size goes 1-5 if i remember correctly.

Yes, that's how they work now, but you can't turn them into raw fish without the cauldron.

You dont need to combine them to cut up the fish.
The numbers tells you how good they are, like 1 means they are not very good, and 5 means you get more cut fish when you cut them up.

They use to do it more, so they tuned it down a bit, but some what yes.
