My Steam Controller Config for Valheim
I've shared my config to the community, and here is a direct link ; steam://controllerconfig/892970/2879587748
I also shared a video on youtube, giving a look at how it works, but also to share a few tips that will make the game play nicer with the Steam Controller / Deck.
The tips are:
1) To prevent tooltip flickering, rebind the KB interact key from "E" to "A". Since the gamepad's interact button is buttonpad A, this will prevent flickering caused by mixed inputs.
2) You can use automatic actionset swapping, so that when there is a cursor visible you can have a different control scheme. It is useful because you can have different bindings such as quicktransfer or split stack.
3) When using joystick style move, you will want to make sure that the joystick input's deadzone style is set to Square, rather than Circle. If it is a circle, then your character won't reach max speed when moving diagonally. Setting it to square fixes that.
The video is here if you're interested. It shows a bit of gameplay as well as those tips:

Let me know what you think! Cheers
