Was thinking on a mechanic something like a offering or tribute to the gods altar... building it easy with coal stones and resin, where you offer 20 trophies to the gods and you get a passive permanent stat that could be related to the enemy.... example, every time you offer 20 shaman trophies you get a bit of poison resistance, and limited to a certain cap, say you can offer 5 times only. offer deer for extra speed, troll for stealth, boar for damage etc.
