Is this game worth it if you don't have friends to play with?

What the title says, I'm a loser that no one loves, and I was wondering if the game would still be fun were I to play by myself.

I've experienced multiplayer and started solo. The game itself doesn't really have much that is devoted for multiplayer. There's a couple things to lock doors and chests so other players can't open it, then some boats have extra seating.

It is more or less a single player game with the ability to play together, with a few features for multiplayer quality of life.

So far the players I've met were/are great and enjoy sharing their creativity. Had I been oblivious of the multiplayer option, I'd be happy with the game anyway.

You'd be surprised how many people have never played with others and done 200+hours on Valheim.

With enough effort you'll easily find a group that aligns with your playable hours, Valheim is absolutely amazing solo and even better with friends or random people you get along with

It's probably very subjective. I wouldn't have played it for very long without another one to play with. It's a great game and it could be fun playing solo, but it's not a given for all.

I've probably done half of my 320hrs alone. It's honestly fun to have a tag along player, but completely subjective to your needs. Playing alone is awesome. You really immerse yourself and have a higher level of survival. Playing with friends is great and takes the load of scavenging down a bit. But also increases your overall useage of foods and resources. There are always people who want to play and suggest going to the forum and asking if people want to play. But be warned, trolls and overall douche bags are a concern and can make things a bit frustrating for you.

It's fun singly or with others. Most of the time I have played has been solo except when friends or family call up and need help w/ the bosses. I am the control freak type that can always be relied on to have all ports and camps/food/prep done (as well as easily solo the mobs they can't kill ). Sadly my friends and family know this lol. My work is very busy. I love solo games :) and I enjoy this one.

I don't have friends either. I thought the Greydwarves might be my friends but that was wrong, so I kill them on sight.

Seriously, over 100 hours in solo, killed the first and second bosses, It's a lot of fun.

utterly, totally, adding friends to your game will make the game compensate and there will be higher level monsters and more of them unless they have changed it which i hope they haven t

it's worth it,i play solo, off and on even though i didn't stack alot of hours yet,it can be a challenge but you will learn how to survive solo
i usually go down the nomad road, building bases in different areas if i have a boss close to me or in preparation for a respawn in case i die during the fight

I've got just over 195 hours in Valheim so far and almost all of that has been solo. It's totally playable alone, and I really enjoyed it.

There's also a Valheim forum where you can look for other players:

https://steamcommunity.com/app/892970/discussions/3/

You can also try Discord.

https://discord.com/invite/valheim

As of right now there are 53,000 players on the discord. I'm sure you could find at least one or two people to join you.

Been playing solo for a couple of months and don't plan to stop anytime soon. I'm still considering it fun.

Sure. Really relaxing exploration, combat, and crafting simulator. You can make glorious crap by hand as a single person if you'd like. Resource gathering takes a little longer, but if you don't mind that sort of grind it's fun.

Also a really fun game to roleplay in if you do have friends.
