breaking cpu's?
not only some of my friends, but it seems lot of ppl are having an issue depending on the settings they use and and the hard wear in there cpu.
the issue was a continuous deterioration of the computers ability to do anything at all. (sorry for my terrible computer lingo)
the fix was reinstalling windows.
does any1 know anything about this or if its been fixed. im afraid to play. lol

That is difficult to tell what is going on. Install Linux to fix your Windows problems.

I have an old rig i7-3770k@3.50GHz, 32 G ram and a GTX 970 pushing 2 monitors, one of which is a 4k. Game runs fine with most grafic settings maxxed. I get enough fps to suit me.

i5 with 16g ram, nvidia 940mx 2gb (laptop).
I get 17fps in good conditions, 27ish at best, 3 in a massive base.
no melting though, she's purring like a kitten so far

I have old budget PC, and Valheim runs perfectly super smooth.
Only issue I have that my graphic card uses fan to cool itself during gameplay. In other games I dont have this issue.
