Got one raid of this and it was easy. Bases should be fine to not be hit if using earthen walls and you don't pop up and aggro the fliers.

Otherwise just run out and meet them using Frostner while ignoring the soldier to kill last.

Ck out the upcoming bug fixes and adjustments to Mistlands that are now on PTB. Hopefully that will help.

I defend any event actively. I build no defense at all in survival solo or dedicated.

Before the event occurs, make sure you have eaten your best food and rested buff anytime (you should always stay on rested in Valheim, your skill increase is doubled if you are rested -> any skill increase). You have enough food after defeating Yagluth anyway to eat every 30 minutes and as you enter Mistlands biome it triples.

As soon as the event occurs eat if the timer is low and leave the base. Fight.

I just made a fence in the plains biome, but more for optical reason. Really It's the easiest way, I tried to defend and build walls the first 500 hours of the game. It turns out this is the easier way.

Look our defense on our server mainbase :D

(was a joke, we have no defense)
https://bilderupload.org/image/9c0167390-1c15203a83f778ce897106739.png

If you go this way, everytime you AFK -> logout. (this is important)

PS: Tipp: at some places around our base we constructed some workbench-huts, to avoid the nearest enemy spawn at night. We don't spam these things, but I placed 2-3 in the corners the night spawn was annoying high.
Example: https://bilderupload.org/bild/b4af67548-2d806ca13ca3449af77106754

Even in Mistlands we just build some fences:
https://bilderupload.org/image/fe7e67719-3148148d62be67e0917106771.png

You would be surprised how very rare you are visited, if you try this method. We all thought it's impossible to live in the plains without any defense. But it really isn't a thing in my opinion.

I am curious how this works, do the mob spawns just get confused pathing around the fence?
My general experience makes me think they would just smash thru the fence, however, I have seen times whey the AI gets confused and doesn't know what to do.

I haven't dealt with this raid yet in my plains base a ways away from mistlands. Structure wise I imagine using the hoe to create a earthen wall topped with stone extending outwards might work since I imagine they aren't like Drake or Bats but start spawned on the ground.

Otherwise you could maybe create an earthen wall in the shape of a U that is thin enough for the player to deal with 1 enemy at a time at least when it comes to seekers. Soldiers (if they spawn - again I haven't had the raid yet) you probably want to have an elevated earthen pillar to stand on top of and use ranged attacks or the iron sledge / other weapons to whittle him down while keeping an eye on seekers.

I am curious about the max number of enemies that spawn in waves though. Perhaps 1 soldier and 4 seekers?

2 ways:
1. get out of you base and fight the bugs
2. kill the queen bug

use bone mass power since the bugs are 0 stars the plains set with shield and frostner can kill all.

ya I am not looking forward to these at all, very unfair to expect anyone to have upgraded materials/base immediately after defeating yagluth, this makes me not want to play on a non cheat server

If you're on a dedicated server like GPortal, see if they have built in access to the Valheim Plus mod. There's a setting to make player built structures indestructible.

cheat commands is the only real answer outside of mods that effectively do the same thing automatically.

the command "stopevent" will stop any event when it starts.
Not there yet, but why would the devs add raids that are this destructive in a game where building large, extravagant bases is so popular? This is a real buzz kill.

setup workbenches on your perimeter so you have a greater chance of them popping up with those at their center maybe. just spitballing. Also as soon as you get the warning head to the edge of the red ring and defend yourself dont sit in the base it offers no protection as you found out.

The new events will cease after defeating the mistlands boss, according to Valheim Fandom wiki, but I'm not sure if that's accurate.
