Mistlands is very fun
Now, I know MANY people will disagree with this statement. But, The Mistlands is fun because its very unique; Its dungeons, terrain, and mobs. I mean, its difficult,, but that adds an element to the game to make it not so easy to finish it up yet. Now, I speak as a person who has beaten the queen, but trust me, me and my cousin had very challenging times there, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many deaths. we had to travel through the mistlands running from everything that move with 50 health. I like the mistlands music though, and the dungeons are very exciting to move through.

It's really hard to gauge opinions of the entire audience because majority of it doesn't spent a moment of time here, and those of us who do probably won't represent a sample of the "average".
The unique things of the game are where it's at its strongest. The novelty of witnessing trees fall down in a daisy chain or one-shotting enemies wears off at some point, and much of the game is just a loop of moving on to a different terrain with different yet generic enemies like undead, dragons or goblins. It's the adequately challenging small (and some times big) stuff in each biome what helps the game come on its own, and oftentimes the very first encounter with that something leaves you wondering how to approach it.

I agree. I'll admit that the difficulty at first was taxing. my very first seeker and soldier were one stars. inventory crunch is even more acute with the absolute need for potions and bombs (I didn't use them much before). and apparently I am a total Gjall magnet. But, after learning some lessons and taking my time, I'm having fun with the progression. Mist walker and the feather cape are my favorite things ever. Love Spine Snap too. once you get the new gear and food going, the only thing that can kill you is your own bad choices.

Well the game is advertised as a brutal game, which it isn't.
From the store page:
'A brutal exploration and survival game for 1-10 players, set in a procedurally-generated purgatory inspired by viking culture. Battle, build, and conquer your way to a saga worthy of Odin’s patronage!'
This update is probably the only time the game is 'brutal'.

Mistlands is very fun
VALHEIM is very fun! Mistlands too!
Thanks for bringing some positivism, amigo!
I think we're all here because we love the game.
Even the complainers, the game means so much to them.
So much they can't help but express themselves.
You, Gnidiel? You bring a happy comment. I love it. I wish we had more threads like yours. Thanks!
I remember my first steps into ML (before the enemies were hit with the nerf bat, no mods working) just a good vanilla kick in the pants kind of experience!
I remember the first time a bug knocked me off a cliff and I died. I remember slowly, slowly sneaking in a wide arc to avoid enemies, only to find a sheer cliff on the far side of my vision. No way around, time to stand up and fight!
.. and lose because I couldn't get a clean shot at the soldier's abdomen.

Mistlands are awesome. Then you die in there and lose your Wisplight. That's all I have to say really. It's possibly the most unforgiving mechanic I've ever seen in a video game.
