19 surtling cores in a ... Minor spoilers for very new players ....
Title
I played for about 20 hours on a world with a test character when I bought the game, long story short, I wanted to restart once I had a fair knowledge of the game.
My first world I explored maybe ten burial chambers, the most I got from one was about 8 with most having anything from 0 - 5 on average.
I started a new world, and about 4 minutes run from spawn was the first burial chamber, this one was like nothing I had seen before, it was twice the size I had seen and had two rooms with stone ramps going up into other rooms, it had 3 mob spawners and i think about 4 of the surtling rooms and a few dotted in corridor ends.
In total whopping 19!!
I tried a google search on how many on average there are and couldnt find a definitive answer but most of the answers were less than ten.
Did I get ridiculously lucky? Curious as to how common this was, especially right near spawn.
My world in general though isnt as good as my first world, massive island but only meadows and black forest and on average so far much less burial caves close to spawn, but if you get 19 from one, who cares I guess!
EDIT
Not sure how world seeds work, I play single player and dont want anyone in/changing my world, I dont have the server button ticked so if its possible to share the seed without y world being affected I will post it tomorrow for anyone interested, if nothing else, it a great quick way to get cores in a pinch

Ok so here is the world seed: EPjCvrhMT7
Having now paid attention to it, I can help but see that it almost says "epic" :)
As a couple have mentioned above which didnt occur to me that although the world may be the same, the contents of the chamber may be random each time, so sorry if thats the case
I have uploaded a screenshot to my profile to see the location as I am not registered with any fileshare sites and dont know how/if you can post it here

iv had a few burial chambers with 0 paths off the entry way and no cores at all
most was around 20 cores with a huge map
rng
the seed is everything for the map, including how the dungeons are generated, same seed same starting everything for the world

While running the same seed will always produce the same map, don't expect it to come out an identical clone.
I've run the same seed multiple times and can speak from experience that while the location of dungeons will be the same, the interior generation is not Same goes with the lore stones. You could have a 'boar stone' next to the starting point on the first generation of the seed, for example, but next time you generate the map it could be the one about falling trees. Same for the random abandoned houses; a beehive will always be in the same spot on the map, but the house it's in could be completely different. Just ran a double of the last seed I liked to re-run the swamp crypts while I could still remember the lay of the land and even noticed the draugr village outside had a different layout as well.

The seed has nothing to do with your world save, so there's no harm in giving it out. It will just generate a fresh map for someone else. However, I think I've heard people say that dungeons generate when they are first accessed and are not based on the seed. (Haven't tested it myself though.)

before H&H i had a few similar super large burials, and i was surprised the first time i encounted such large ones. i dont remember whicxh tombs, but most were 0 or 5 to 7, however i do rember pulling over a stack and half from one tomb and this was long before doing the elder.

You were lucky. Each burial chamber has 3 paths going from the central area sometimes there is solid stone and no path. Sometimes there is just a short corridor with a couple turns that dead end and other times there are long corridors with multiple doors and turns. Those usually have cores in them. If you get a burial chamber with 3 long corridors especially if they have a lower or upper level you can get quite a few cores.
The best I've had is 12 cores in one burial chamber and the worst one had 1 dead end and 2 corridors that turned once and ended in a rock fall with yellow mushrooms and zero cores.

I think the most I've pulled from a burial chamber was around that at ~20. It's just luck of the generation, seen big ones like the chamber you described have almost no cores at all with only dead ends, and have seen smaller ones just packed full of cores.

Some burial chamber entrances are more elaborate. Some are even buried. Both of these types seem to have more cores than the chambers with simple, standard entrances.

It should say the world seed next to the world name, just post that and people making their own worlds can type it in. Folks can only change your world if you open it up as a server.

You are lucky. Play the lottery :-). Srsly though, I've found biomes have normal dungeons, goose eggs (one or nothing), and juicy-jakes (multiple average dungeon's worth of resources), so it looks like you hit paydirt on that one!
