They are a good place to put an early base. Start with ladders to get off the ground. As you spiral your rooms around the rock, raise each level by half a wall and it will be tall enough to keep you from bumping your head as it turns around. Put your campfire at the top of the rock with a chimney. It will be immune to raids, except for trolls which might be tall enough to reach. You'd still need a ditch to keep them from getting too close.

You can fit your smelters and a garden inside the circle, but it might be too small for animal pens too.

my theory is that they amplify local fauna spawn quality.. i seem to see more 2 star necks and deer and pigs near them..

they are permanent afaik. but that hint there about possible iron while in a swamp is OP ty for that heads-up!! #whoa!

sometimes if you walk around the swamp w the wishbone you will find iron in the middle of them or around them. and somtimes draugr/skeleton spawners are there

I thought they were another grave site thingy. Heard you can dig in it. If not than its still cool to see them around lol

Good starting ground if you can find one by the water. I don't think they can be destroyed even by trolls.. Maybe something if you dig there too like in the ship burial areas.

I built a castle on top of them using them as posts.

Good to know they had some significance. They have an oddly unique feel to them.

You can always make up your own rules to play by. :D In this case, you don't even need a mod.
