This. I just had one spawn over my farm i was trying to establish. He destroyed everything except the plants. Definitely going to have to come up with some effective counter measures for this d**khead.

But I am enjoying the challenge.

Does the mist eat boats? I had a longship parked in mist and when I went back to it after a day it was at least 50% damaged. No creatures had been near it as far as I know. I hadn't realised it was damaged (always check now) and hit a rock on the way back to base and died in the ocean!

I don't think so.
I had one parked nearby as well. Pretty well hidden, but every once and awhile it would be damaged.
I think either waves hitting it or the occasional tick might be damaging it and you don't realize it.

I think I'll wait for a modder to remove or reduce the mist before I ever log on.
That looks tedious as hell.

It's tedious for sure but I am accepting that this is Mistlands and Mist is what players have to deal with. As far as performance, it doesn't effect movement at all but they break super easy and with the monster spawn it becomes important where I place the torches so I don't have to keep replacing them.
