Why does everyone assume it will be in the mountains rather than the northlands?
The mountains already have a variety of mobs, a boss, and a biome specific ore, adding much more would make them kind of congested; it just makes much more sense to put them in a biome that isn't already in use and doesn't have any other plans on the roadmap.
