No, healing only per food. Yes it seems to be bugged most of the time. I often have big chunks and then nothing but small numbers.. or also 0 sometimes.

Taming is more work and a bother than actually fun imho. Especially wolves and boar.

Thanks mate for the reply, what meat would work best on healing them? we tried Deer meat and Boar meat, but doesn't seem to have improve the burst of healing it does. So far we're enjoying the wolve raiding parties we're doing to trolls/swamp creatures haha. but ways of healing them other than a bunch of 0's coming up is a bit of an annoyance :(

To my knowing it's all the same. Even if it shouldn't be.. granted.. I only tried to heal my lox family and regardless what of the 3 things they eat... I gave em.. nothing changed. So they ended up dying anyway so I never really tried again since it kinda made me lowkey sad.

All the investment and time for them dying a miserable death while building the base due to constant deathsquito and fuling spawns that wander to me. While having stacks of food everywhere.

The feeling not seeing your lovely lox family but only their hide and meat.. when you enter the pen. It's a lowkey kinda devastating sad moment.
