I want an alternative way of preventing the weathering of buildings...
Problem:
I like building and I have been playing valheim for a while now, and the only thing that bothers me is... That as a builder i don't always want a roof over the structures I build in order to preserve the structure.... I am currently building a city, and i hate the fact that i have to run around fixing everything the moment it starts to rain. This is only the only problem I have with building... I like the game mechanics and everything else its just something that bothers me.
Solution:
Vikings used wood tar to preserve buildings, maybe if we add a new cauldron recipe, i can make wood tar by using resin... then if you have the wood tar in your hand you can right click on any wooden piece you want to preserve.

"Resin" was used to make boats' hull waterproof (colophanon), not to protect surfaces.
Historical ways to make wooden structures waterproof: metallic earth paints (Fallun red), and wood tar (distilled wood in special kilns). Any fantasy, yet historically-tied, recept should either include in-game coal or wood.

You know that your buildings will only go to 50% health because of weather, right? They won't fall apart. But they do look damaged at that point.
