Stupid defenders don't even realize, that anniversary was yesterday, and devs did NOTHING. N.O.T.H.I.N.G. above copy-paste of December's devblog. Not even single date about upcoming update.
Can you just imagine: today is the birthday of your best creation, that brought you a lot of money and glory.
And what do you do to please your hundreds of thousands fans, buyers etc.? N.O.T.H.I.N.G.

Why are you looking for excuses for them? The game was good at the start, but 1 update per year... And even then it can hardly be called a full-fledged major update that everyone expected.

One update in a year? I see two patches in Oct, Two in Nov, one in Dec. Granted they got sloppy in Jan but that's a lot more than one update in a year...

Granted the game still needs basic functions like saving without quitting, and textures that are more detailed than minecraft, but I'm not sure it's correct to accuse them of only one update in a year.

You do not understand what you are talking about, with the textures just in the game everything is ok.
