all of my wolves died from raids but now i have an army of 2 star wolves

Had my very first wolf raid yesterday after a year and a half of playing. Unfortunately, the alert distracted me from the stone golem I was fighting at the time (I was farming crystals to build windows) and was immediately killed by it.

Had another raid two hours later. Came out of it 40 pelts, 40 pieces of meat, and 10 trophies richer.

breed lots and release a few into the meadows for laughs :-)

A friend and I took a pack of 30 2* wolves to kill Yag, The fight was over in a few seconds.

I had just read up on how to tame things, and decided a to dig a pit near the local, small cold mountain biome and have some wolves chase me into the pit, from which I would throw meat into the walled off hole and wait until the wolves calmed down, from which I then would harpoon them back out and lead them into my base.

This was before they shut them up, mind you, so they were constantly howling and totally afraid of all the fire.

I have several hundred spread over many bases but they're all no-star at this point. The only starred one I've seen so far was a one-star that snuck up behind me and with the help of its pack thoroughly vivisected me. My first wolf traps (dug out pits) were usually just inside the Mountain biome and my taming outpost building was just outside it so the cold wasn't a big deal during taming. I used the frost mead when luring the wolves back to the trap and then hung out until they were my friendly pooches. I'd breed up about 8 and take half to the nearest base. It was like herding cats - they'd follow just fine until some prey was detected then they ignore me just like my real world dog lol. Unless we scared up a troll all of them would usually survive the trip. We stuck to Black Forest and Meadows for travelling.

I spawned about 12, tamed them legitimately and then ran them all back from the mountains into the meadows, raining death and destruction upon all living creatures in our way.

i tamed a bunch of wolves only for the owner of the server to roll back the server and i lost all my 2 star wolfes

Build a tame pit (stone enclosure) at the edge of a small/medium mountain, 4-5 spawn sites. Make it comfortable up top of the pit , mini base. Clear spawn day and night , but be sure to look for 2 star wolves at night. You just need one to breed a 2 star army.

I tamed a 2 star and then it immediately got killed by a Frostdrake.

Yes, cold protection is recommended. If you can pull it off without, then kudos.

*Edit : Wolf cape OR lox cape (or mead, or fire) will provide protection.
