Returning to game, what does this warning message mean?

I'm returning to Valheim after a long time and at the load screen I get this warning message:
https://postimg.cc/3yzsM2LC

What does it mean? Does it mean that if I play this game file, I risk "sync conflicts" and "data loss"? Or does it mean that the game will remedy this by moving the save file to a new file structure to prevent this, and I can load and play without worry?

Thank you for your help.

Just play normally and the game will save where it needs to. You can decide if you want to use Steam cloud or not (I prefer not), but other than that you really don't need to worry about anything.

BUT if you have not played in a while it is strongly suggested that you start a new world/save especially with the newest update. They changed the world generation algorithm so the new Mistlands would be larger continent wise.

So enable/disable Steam cloud, start a new game and play away.

Mistlands hasn't gone live yet. Wait till then to make a new map, unless you're going on the test server.

No, not yet. It probably needs some balancing.
