Things to do in remote "easy" biomes?
While this game is like answer to prayers after "Conan Exiles" or "Dark and Light" for it's world generator, there is something about exploration - once you "graduated" from Black Forest there is no need to explore other Black Forests in remote regions. Same thing about Swamp when iron no longer best material available.
What could be done to make them interesting again? May be event which will make players to decide should they venture into unexplored "easy" biom or face something like heavier invasion of minions of fallen boss?

For me, easier biomes are useful launching points for exploring more dangerous biomes. I'm always glad to see them; it means safer places to beach the boat, safer places to build bases. Black forest can be especially convenient for small bases due to the stone towers. If something should happen, better to respawn in meadows or blackforest instead of on top of a mountain. So I always like to explore them.
If you decide the map needs some expansion to the west say, and would like to establish a west-side base as a launching point for that exploration, what would you look for? I would look for an easy biome to the west, adjacent to the ocean, e.g. meadows/blackforest.
I think they're always good places to explore and uncover on your map.

Nah, its a bit broken...
The devs will need to re-look at the mats and weapons again,
Or maybe they already have plans?
It is like the game is still in Early Access

Its EA but still the new stuff, just adds more leather and bones sans something to make with them, hell I would be happy with bone furniture and leather curtains that scare boars, something to do with all that stuff.
Devs will need to re-look at the stuff to balance it again,

You really dont think you will need thistle or mushrooms. Interesting. I mean I know 'some' thistle is in the swamps, but that is semantics.

yeah i was thinking about remote biomes, one think they should do is add structures like ruined castles and canals, and all sort of things that you can't find near the center of the world, look at the zombie villages but amped up, mix the biomes and enemies in those places, give incentives to look for those rare structures to build a base

The Dark Forest is far too pretty. I wouldn't want to build homes anywhere else.

I wish biomes had difficulties that get harder when further from the center of the world. So there can still be really hard troll fights and sneaking around them all the way through the game.

the youtuber Kysen said in a couple videos that the biomes do get more difficult the further out from the center you go. i'm not sure if that's true but it hasn't exactly been my experience. I have noticed that black forests and swamps farther out are a bit more dense with mobs but that's it

Iron is always necessary, to be honest. THe highest-tier armor uses it, and those of us that like to build high structures consistently need it.
More or less agree about Meadows and BLack FOrest, but Copper is sometimes needed to throw down a forge and Bronze for upgrades if you're building a remote base and you don't want to shipp all your ores and ingots.

Well some late game stuff need old stuff, like the padded armour, but generally I agree the progression needs another look, as in why so much bones and scrap leather ?
Personally I just make all the weapons, even those I have no intention of using as deco items in my hall, but yeah the devs will need to re-look at the drops as they currently make no sense ( tonnes of scap leather and bones, post mountains...what the heck am I to do with the 10 stacks of bones :P )

There's always the Obliterator! XD Seriously, though, I get what you mean there. what the heck am I to do with the 10 stacks of bones
It's one reason I like the Epic Loot mod. It gives a purpose to all those stacks of trophies, and you can create some trophies from those items (like Skeleton Trophies from the bones).

I think they did "OK" on this.
meadows is sort of a go-to new campsite/home biome. It has berries, which are still useful (dye, muckshake) and boar (casual food when not in plains or mountain).
Dark forest has thistle, which is always useful, and dwarves, which you get more than you want sometimes but its very possible to need or want to farm them for rock/wood/resin trio. Its slower than farming any one of those the usual way, but faster than farming all 3 one at a time, esp resin which goes fast if you use fire arrows on trash or have many lights. You may also explore a cave to get portal cores if you don't have a better source.
swamp has iron, always needed.
mountain has freeze glands and obsidian for arrows, and wolf foods are solid even into the plains. '
As we move on out of the plains to mistland, the tar at least will remain useful for a while I would bet.
each biome has just a little something that is always useful, in other words. Granted you can overfarm anything and not need more for years, but if you don't do that, exploring new sections of weak biomes tops you off and you may just run into that epic build site that inspires you to make something grand.

Nah, its a bit broken...
I mean in the dark forest you get the needed bones to upgrade. but then you get many more bones in the swamp, and more in the mountain...even the new caves, you get leather and bones...more than you can use really.
Theres more, as in you get physical defence from Bone... but face a elemental boss after, you get punished for going slash or pierce, in the next zone.
Why do I get some many leather scraps and bones in the Swamps and Mountains when by that time I have passed the need for those items ?
Why do I get spirit items, after I done the undead zones ? Do Fulings suffer from spirit ?
The devs will need to re-look at the mats and weapons again,

I agree about thistle and other cooking ingridients. My question is about remote regions you find when explore. Surely you will not sail half world away for thistle on other continent when there is enough thistle in your well explored Black Forest nearby.
