It's actually not random. The weather, wind speed, and direction are the same for every seed, believe it or not. Search "jerekuusela weather valheim" for a nifty tool that tells you what it's going to be and when.

The weather and wind are always the same on a given day and biome. For example, you'll notice that day 2 in the meadows is always foggy.

If you believe that is true you should simply start out sailing in the opposite direction from which you intend to go to fool the program.
