When ever I portal to an area my friend is already at in the game it gets laggy for me. He re-logs and then the lag goes away until we get far enough away from each other on the map and it happens again. This issue has persisted through many versions of the game. Not sure if this matters but our world is around 1800 days old but this has occurred for most of it. We use Gportal.
