Yup, I am assuming this game is going to die, because the devs didn't bank on the hype while it was at it's highest.

Yeah, so much for all that new hiring and expanding and such. Just air, like the future of this games content. This first patch, going based off of the roadmap, is technically the one that would be the most lackluster in terms of content, and if it takes them this long, then you can figure how long actual content will take. Happy to be proven wrong.

Early Access games are not for you if you cant wait
they take years to finish especially if the team is small
and the game is far from dead

If you sell 7 Million Copies of a Game, you can expect them to hire new people and push out the Content.

It cant be that hard to add new Rooftiles after 5 Month.

Good lord, lotta drama in hear. I don't think the game is dead, just that it won't be getting content super fast.

Look at Terraria, they'd have long ass gaps between big content patches but that game kept putting out stuff years and years after it came out.

People nowadays are way too spoiled. I could agree if this game wasn't an EA game and if didn't had a small team oh well, it's called EA for a reason and people expect a full game and patch every damn week

Remember when people used to buy games without expecting new ♥♥♥♥ literally within the first few months of release. It used to be that games came as is and people were perfectly happy with that.

You do realize its a small indie team of maybe 5 people who made this game right? Either take the game for what it is or dont and ♥♥♥♥ off lmao

well the main issue is that the game came out when all of us were home :) pandemic
So we all have been really putting hours in it and that the problem

in normal times u would need much longer to explore and craft ... and then the content is not so boring so fast

i better wiat 1 year and have quality content and fun to play it again then rushing out half backed stuff like EA does it this days :=

I don't have particularly high hopes for it, I don't regret buying it considering the time I put in and the hours I got out of it but I think the future looks pretty bleak for the rest of the game. They scrapped their roadmap and haven't bothered to show a one after about 5 weeks, the new update is nowhere to be seen despite it literally being about adding new building pieces and furniture etc, something modders have already added. So if the update ever does come out it'll probably break existing mods to add items that modders have already added. They focused on these little "teaser" images that gave you so little to examine there wasn't anything to get excited over or to look forward to and the hype just gradually dropped off.

The devs had lightning in a bottle but that's all unfortunately, they'd rather talk about how they bought a horse or post recipes for fish wraps...? I'm certainly not recommending it to anyone until there's a bit more of a sign of life. The foundations are there for something really special but the progress appears to be glacial.
