I may have permanently damaged my files
Hi folks,
I was trying to get SKKDisableRandomEvents mod to work and failing miserably. The author pointed to a version of BepinEx which was on the Thunderstore and was more updated than the version I had through Vortex, saying that was necessary. Well all my mods work through Vortex and the Disable Random Events mod wasn't available on Thunderstore, and nothing else was working so I tried to delete the version of BepinEx in Vortex's folder and replace it with the up-to-date version from Thunderstore.
Now none of my mods work. I can't uninstall the new version of BepinEx because as soon as I do it pops right back into my menu. I can't reinstall the old file because it doesn't recognize that it was ever anything other than the updated version. I tried to manually delete the new BepinEx and replace it with the old one--the reverse of what got me into this mess--and that didn't work. Vortex rightly states that the two versions conflict, but refuses to let me delete the new one without instantly repopulating it. I even tried uninstalling Vortex and reinstalling it. It reinstalled with my old mods and--you guessed it--the new BepinEx. I am out of ideas. Is there any way to fix this? Or is modded Valheim now forever lost to me?

Sorry, thats why i use no vortex, 100% control over your files.
Since its too late to say "backup your Bepinex folder, or the whole game folder before you mess with maybe not working mods" all i can suggest is
And i write that without any knowledge how vortex really works. I would suggest to install your mods manually. One cause of issues less.
IN THAT ORDER
1:
Rename the savegame folder
C:\Users\YOUR WIN ID\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim
2: Backup your Plugin and CFK folder in Bepinex. And remove the SKKDisableRandomEvents and all other not working mods
3:
Uninstall the game
4;
Manually delete the files in the game installation folder thats left
5: Delete Vortex
(6:? If there a settings folder from vortex you need to delete manually ?)
7: Install game
8: Install mods, manually or with Vortex
